I Will Survive

They crushed my dreams

and I cried.

I was going to give up

and run and hide.

Until I realized,

if I do,

That they will have won.

So, I rose from

the ashes of my defeat.

I told myself,

My enemies

would not destroy me.

No matter what

they throw at me.

I will survive.

Just wait and see.
