Shattering

“Hey beautiful” were the words he spoke to me long ago. I see him in the halls of school everyday and thoughts flood my mind every single time. “I love you”, “you are my forever”, “don’t worry your pretty little mind, I will always be here for you” are things he said to me everyday. Everytime our eyes meet I can feel my heart shattering into countless amounts of pieces. Imagine loving someone so much you would risk your own life for them; that’s how I feel about him. We once were so close you wouldn’t see him around without me right there next to him. Now we’re just strangers pretending there wasn’t a time we used to be in love.
