Deafening Silence

Mine was the only car on that dark road; hadn‘t passed another soul for at least 35 miles. The radio started acting funny, flipping through all the stations on its own at a rapid pace before it abruptly cut-out and was replaced by a silence so profound that the hair on the back of my neck stood up.
