darkness

resides inside

of me

the light resides

inside

of me too, but

what if

the light that is

within

all of us is

darkness

disguising as

a light

just to lead us

astray?

I am currenlty writing what may end up being a short story or novella, I am not sure yet. I am very excited about it.

It is set in a futuristic time where most things are holograms. Everything from The moon to displays in grovcery stores are holograms.

The protagonist realizes one night that the moon says ‘error 404’ as does the bed where her roomate is sleeping, but when she looks back, everything is normal. She realizes that these things and people are glitching, and that is jsut the beginning.

I don’t want to give too much away.

Oh, I hope some day I'll make it out of here

Even if it takes all night or a hundred years

Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near

Wanna feel alive, outside I can't fight my fear

Isn’t it lovely, all alone

Heart made of glass, my mind of stone.

Tear me to pieces, skin to bone
Hello, welcome home

When people sleep,

We count sheep.

It helps us clear out thoughts of the day

and focus on anything, including hay.

but whenever sheep get sleep,

what do they count?

do they also count sheep,

or, do they take into account

the fact that there is no need

for a headcount

of their breed.

Autumn is coming, and

Everyone dreads the

Inevitable seasonal blues, but

Only the darkest of people will

Ultimately find solace in the fall

free will

the idea that we do everything voluntarily

the idea that destiny is a joke

the idea that what we do is what we intend to do

destiny

a suggestion of set things to occur in ones life

a suggestion that we have no control

a suggestion where free will does not exist

but

as humans we crave meaning

as humans we crave a reason

as humans we crave control

so

if free will leaves us to decide our meaning

if free will allows us to create a reason

if free will gives us total control

and yet

destiny leaves us to search for a meaning

destiny allows us to have a reason

destiny gives us little control

who is to say they contradict one another

who is to say you cannot have both

for as i see it

the two go hand in hand
