Thoughts of you
I’m well prepared and was always in expectation that this day would approach quickly. I’m at peace, not afraid of death, and firmly believe that the real life has not even began. As I sit here having my last meal, all my thoughts are with you my love. The thought of you being alone weighs on my heart and mind like a heavy stone.
I chose with my last meal to have cooked apples on the side. I wanted to think about and remember you and I collecting the apples from under our tree, with the sound of the fall leaves rustling under our feet. I wanted to see your beautiful smile, and hear your laughter.
Please know we will be together again very soon. Our lives are in the hands of the Creator of love. Love believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. View my death as a resting place for me and I will wake up with great joy upon seeing your face again.
