Who Am I?

Does it matter what you think I am?

Should it matter?

Judging is what you do best.

You talk of that filthy prostitute

That thief

That murderer

That liar?

The point is, you like pointing fingers;

But do you know what made that ‘filthy prostitute’

That ‘thief’

That ‘murderer’

That ‘liar’?

It’s so easy for me to embrace the darkness

Because it’s all I’ve ever known.

I became a thief

Because I had to make do

When some nights I had to sleep on an empty stomach

I became a prostitute

Because it was the only way I could cope with the demons inside me

Which were initiated the night my own blood

Decided I was old enough to play ‘mommy and daddy’

I became a murderer because the same demons inside of me,

Initiated by my own blood on that bloody night,

Could not take it any more

And begged to be unleashed.

So, does it matter what you think I am?

Should it matter to me?

I don?t think so..
