One day i was sad. A friend comforted me like this: r u in ur bed room, he said. I was like: yeah, i'm not doing anything weird. He said no, fold ur pillow in half. I said i 'm NOT doing anything weird. He said hug it, that is how it feels to hug my belly. I am afar and cannot hug u back, but i want u to feel my support. I did, and I felt that day, like Piglet hugging Winnie the Pooh.

Before showers and paper towel.

Before smiles.

Before my humble soul.

Before journeys and solitude.

Before any of my girlfriends.

Before the boss and a raise.

Before arguments.

Before understanding.

Before novels, movies or carousels.

Before knives and forks, neighbors and relatives, rumors and gossips.

Before every emotion, trance, twist-and-turn, up-and-down.

Before the spring glaze, summer tempest, autumn leaves, snow flakes and whatever comes around goes around time and times again.

U rank before all of these; ur sadness ranks before even u.

Alas ur promises fails to make the list.

I thought a love on top of so much would be of some depth; however it remains to be inadequate and shallow.
