A Place to Call Home

Cozy safe walls, with many windows and doors

The big open kitchen will have hard wood floors

There will be multiple rooms for visiting friends

And a spacious living room to where a staircase descends

There will be a fireplace among a rock wall

And there will be two full bathrooms, just down the hall

A nice pantry will be tucked just under the staircase

A dining room by large windows should have plenty of space

In the backyard will grow a garden, blooming with flowers

And there will be a large pool that we'll be able to call ours

Maybe a swing set for the little ones to play

By an open window where we can hear them laughing all day

I'll fill every wall with pictures in frames and decor

And every day I'll paint a wall or add something more

It may not seem like much at first, we may get the urge to roam

But as we fill the walls with love, it will become a place to call home!
