Eyes

Sometimes it hurts to look into your eyes,

Not because it shines brightly because of happiness,

Or because of the strong feelings hidden beneath.

It hurts to look into your eyes because,

everytime you look into my eyes,

the shine of your eyes disappears.

Before

I close my eyes and think of us

A picture so perfect it made me smile

No matter the distance from yard to mile

It’s just so perfect, well, it was.
