Unspoken Yearning

In shadows cast by doubt and fear,

A lonely heart, its whispers clear.

Yearning for attention, love's embrace,

Yet met with silence, a vacant space.

I reach for stars in the night's embrace,

Hoping to find a tender trace,

But like the wind, he slips away,

Leaving me with doubts that sway.

Does he wander with another's grace,

While I'm left here to find my place?

A phantom love, a haunting thought,

Leaves my heart in battles fought.

His words like echoes, distant and cold,

In a story of love that's left untold.

A puzzle incomplete, a riddle unsolved,

In this tale of longing, my heart's involved.

I question if his heart is torn,

Between another's love and my forlorn,

Aching for affection, a touch so sweet,

Yet trapped in this dance of incompleteness, we meet.

Oh, the agony of an unspoken truth,

A love that's hidden, lost in youth.

I wonder if he'll ever see,

The depth of my love, my silent plea.

But in the midst of this heart's despair,

I find the strength to rise and share,

My worth, my value, my light within,

No longer bound by where I've been.

For loneliness may cast its spell,

But I'll break free, and bid farewell.

To love that's one-sided, undefined,

In solitude's embrace, strength I'll find.

Monthly Philosophy Challenge for April.
Give us Spinoza's take on humanity in 2024, but make it yours, also... Winner is decided by likes, and will receive a crisp $10.00 -Stare through us through him.

Unselfish heart

In considering humanity in 2024, it doesn't have to be driven by ones desires or passion for doing something, but it has to be based on empathy. Doing unto other people as you would want them do unto you. In this way one can be selfless. Today

Having all these worldly crisis's, the interest is to better oneself and often times, it ends into selfishness. Spinoza would likely remind us that while our passions can lead to progress, they can also cloud our judgment and lead to conflict. But if one has it in them to do good unto others with just expecting that good will be done to them, this brings a good foundation for a harmonious society.

advice for an almost 18-year-old?
my birthday is in two weeks

Growing up means a lot of responsibility coming your way. Don't be overwhelmed, breath in and breathe out, start dealing with one thing at a time. Make sure you take your time when dealing with dilemmas, it does not hurt to conduct a SWOC or SWOT analysis of the situation, for every mistake or wrong choice you make, it has an equal impact on your life just as when you make a right choice. Be careful with what you wish for as long as your imagination is not limited.

Challenge
Do you want the good news or bad news first?
Have fun!

News

Good news first. Hearing bad news first makes it impossible to enjoy the good news.

Give Your Opinion/Advice
I have a friend who plays drums and is at the age where he needs to decide if he will study music or something else. This kid has done nothing since the age of 5 but be a drummer. He still loves it and is passionate about it. Will studying something else interfere with his musical aspirations or be a helpful backup? I want all answers from the practical to the dreamy - and everything in-between.

Opinion

Music is changing, not everyone will like the drum forever. Some will love a piano and other instruments hence blend in and be familiar with other things. I would encourage the boy to pursue other things.

Be realistic, is this even possible?

Why not, you can do it.

I don't doubt.
