The Uncalculated.

Look at them, such chemistry.

I don’t know what it is between them;

friendship?

But it is a little more complicated than that.

Look at her, such beauty.

There’s something special and different about her;

cheekiness?

No one dares to treat me as such,

but then she doesn’t know who I really am.

Look at her, such brazenness.

Why do I feel a need to protect her from him;

oblivious of his being,

I need to save this naive girl

before it is too late.

It is. It was.

She hid her true identity too,

she found out who he really is,

she continues to hide her identity;

she cannot define these feelings she has,

whenever she is with THEM,

but she knows she is grateful to have them as her friends.

He falls for her,

as she is not like any other girl;

he wants her.

He, too, falls for her,

but he knows he must not touch her,

because their friendship is more important,

and his loyalty is to his blue-blooded friend;

so he watches over her,

protects her.

His brother proposed to her.

He has to protect her from his own blood,

What can he do when his father believes

his brother is trying to save the family from this proposal?

What can he do when he know his brother

is planning something more sinister?

A secret plan

to bring down the royal line.

He goes to his friend,

as much as it pains him

to realise,

he cannot do anything to save his love,

but his friend can.

But more importantly to save his friend

from his own flesh and blood.

He saved his first love.

He is forever grateful to his loyal friend;

he did not know his friend shared the same feelings for her.

Did his friend come to him,

to save her or to save him?

"He saved her. He deserves her."

News of his friend leaving for the border

rings in his ear.

When she first found of this same news,

her heart skipped a beat.

She realised she cares,

but how much?

He doesn't know I am doing this for myself.

Out of sight, out of mind.

I need to leave

than to be reminded

every day and every night

or every time I see them together

of how much I love her.

Their eyes locked.

He saw them looking at each other;

He saw how they avoided each other.

He sensed something but could not quite put his finger on it;

or did he choose not to put his finger on it.

Blue turns to green.

But he could not turn green,

to a friend who did so much for him.

Oh why, does he fall for the same person he did?

She cares but to whom does her heart lie?

her heart aches,

she could not quite decide.

She realises she is a Villain.

The villain who ruined the very thing she admired between them,

the very thing she craved.

Friendship so pure, even love lost.

Her very existence has extinguished this friendship,

the friendship she does not deserve.

Love after war

Hate was the word to describe

how I felt when she took my things

without asking; Lending it to her friend

As though it was hers.

Just as how the two great countries in love

yet invaded each other's conquest for seven years,

Only to reshuffle their conquest

As though it was theirs.

Immaturity? All I wanted was revenge,

craving really. I had to do something

to dampen that fire. So

I splashed and spilled.

Power? Greed? All they wanted was more,

or was it to protect their pride?

The Treaty of Paris dampened the spirit,

but France was left bitter.

Whilst blood was spilt in their war;

my weapon of choice was water.

Are you laughing now?

They had armies and artilleries,

I stand alone.

I splashed and spilled,

poured really. On her bed.

What harm was there? None.

For water evaporates.

My wrath evaporated with it.

For she is, after all, my sister.

As much as I hated

the things she did;

As much as we fought

when we were young;

Blood tied us together.

Boy am I glad I did what I did

for all my angers worth;

If I'd kept myself bitter like the French,

I wouldn't love her the way I do now.

Mere sibling rivalry you say,

I beg to differ; I know

how I felt back then.

It could've turned ugly.

Now that we're apart,

We show our love like nobody's business;

Not even Napoleon Bonaparte,

can seize our flying kisses.
