Smother The Silence

Have you ever had that feeling

when your throat becomes tight with constriction?

Did your chest become constrained, heavy weighted with pressure,

and your shoulders numb, tickled with disappointment?

Yeah...

That was the presence of pain trying to find a home in your heart...

Those that are valiant deny such occupancy, acting is if the sensation does not exist.

They often find themselves fixated on aimless objects, falling deep within their thoughts before "snapping" out of it.

Why do we allow ourselves to descend into such discouraging trances?

Well see...

For a brief moment in time the silence of our thoughts begin to screech, wailing so loud so, that it becomes the only sound we hear.

Bring the Sun First, and the Gun Second

Her smile was luminous and loud, louder than any choir could ever sing! With my eyes pleasantly fixed, and my jaw completely dropped I whispered "You have got to be heaven sent!" As our eyes connected she released a wink, and I felt my stomach drop to the very bottom core of the earth. "These are heavy butterflies" I say to myself, with utmost admiration for my Queen.

Throughout our time together, I was constantly bewildered. On more occasions than one I would find myself thinking what in the world had this woman done to me? Certainly, she had to have put a spell on me with her dazzling, seductive eyes, and her tantalizing touch. Not to mention how alluring it was for me every time I smelled her beach scented perfume! One day I joked that it just had to be a love potion, because I could never walk away from her when she wore it...

It was a mere six months after our marriage that I found this accusation to be true. The abnormal feelings I had in the past were indeed a reaction to a gang of love spells! It was also at this time when I realized this witch had a lot worse planned for me than just love potion #9.

What she desired was more like nine bottles of bane with a side of sudden death.

After Reading (Between) the Lines

She (silently) steered away from the masses to

Embark on a journey (for one).

Her destination: Her True Self, with

Anticipation for all (God's) experiences to come.

She began her journey with one (fiery) desire in mind...

A Promise...

A promise (to herself)

To (unconditionally) love

Whoever it was

Waiting (all this time)

To be found

At the finish line.

The Wails of Love

if I released a Banshee's cry

it would Still fall on deaf ears.

so what would be the point of even confessing how I feel?

what would I win?

Profitless desperation in exchange for depression

while your ego thrives off Admiration, yet still defending our Division?

your view of me is so demented

you could never foresee my vision

of Love,

of Rebuilt Trust,

of Second Chances,

of what could Still become of Us...

Us?

I see the confusion as your face remains fixed, and your heart begins to jump

in fear, and dissatisfaction of

being shackled to a women you no longer love.

So now I must know When?

When did the Love Leave?

When did my inner beauty begin to rot,

unable to grasp the clutch of your Intrigue?

such an Intimate betrayal (well not to you, but it seems that way to me).

You Maliciously killed what, together, we created

So Now the Banshee Screams.

Farewell “Friend”

your lies burned You more

your lies taught Me life lessons

yet robbed You of life...
