Lost

Deeping shadows with just a hint of light almost obscure the line of pine trees across the road. A mild front moves into the area, ground mist from patches of snow begin to rise. A telephone pole loses its base in the mist and appears to float. A stop sign cut in half with only a lonely S showing. Then there are the legless people walking down the street totally oblivious. It scares me because soon they will be swallowed.

Reflections

Almost forty years later you still kick up dust walking down the streets of my memory. I don't always think about you, years can go by without you kicking up a dust storm, I just hope you are happy and all your dreams came to be.
