The mind is the greatest aspect of ourselves and the only way I can set mine free is to move beyond all differences of culture and ideology.

Challenge
It's time for another fun challenge, Creating New Nursery Rhymes. See the description.
This time, give a nursery rhyme a completely different spin. Try to keep it short or at least within the words allowed. Best one wins the Crazy Nursery Rhyme Award. So get original, get creative. To get an idea, I have done three for you to check out. Have fun with this!! But I have to add that you must tag me as @Danceinsilence in the comment box. Not doing so will disqualify your work.(Leave the profanity at the door. And nothing overtly sexual.)

Pareidolia

When I was a child, a boy lived in the walls.

While Mother went shopping, we’d play with my dolls.

Then one day she saw him and fainted.

Father had the all walls painted,

But sometimes I still hear his squalls.

Challenge
loneliness

To my daughter.

The final truth is that there is no home for us here.

We are not accepted into any community without self-lobotomy and the subsequent death of rational mind.

If we are to stay true to ourselves then all we have is ourselves.

Challenge
Tell a story inspired by the word, "Close".
Since the word has more than one meaning, take it as you wish. Only fifty words, no swearing or blasphemy. Don't tag me, I'll read all your entries <3

Hoping for a spark

I'm close now, at the limit, on razor's edge.

My stomach threatens to digest itself.

Lack of both sleep and sanity causes my fingers to twitch.

Usually, I would turn the screen off and close my eyes.

But I'm out of time.

I type "Hey! How's it going?"and hit Send.

Challenge
give me a glimpse into your twisted mind
let's get honest with eachother. write a micropoem (a very short poem) about one or more of your raw thoughts. don't be scared; i'm all twisted up too. oh! and HEY! twisted doesn't have to mean ugly, u know?

Fake Cigarettes

Ever since that night I've been restless.

You can't get tan from moonlight.

Someone seems always at my back,

breath tickling the hairs on my neck,

and if I just reached far enough,

I'd feel their skin, cold to the touch, just like mine.

You know I've never smoked in my life

but I bought a pack anyways.

I let one hang from my lip

while I sit on the curb and watch nightwalkers.

I've got enough problems in my life that give me urge and hunger,

no need to throw nicotine into the mix.

Like the last time I saw you.

My chest ached and I couldn't eat for days.

Everything felt raw.

I don't want this in my life, never really have.

But my body is fighting me every step of the way.

So what if I sucked your blood,

it doesn't have to mean anything. Right?

Challenge
make a metaphor of chess
write something that uses the game of chess metaphorically! OK HEAR ME OUT: I think we should start a thing (let's call it MAM) where you create a make-a-metaphor challenge and it can be anything (i.e. make a metaphor of ______). anyone? maybe it could be some sort of prose.com type thing? please let me know; I just thought it was a good idea

Zugzwang

You were the best of us, my Queen.

Devout and deadly as a Bishop, you cut through opposition like butter.

Loyal and with a Rook's honor, you defended me in my worst times.

Yet one day I took to greed and lost you with little to gain.

And only when the board was nearly clear and I was all alone,

did I realize that a King without his Queen has no victory in his future,

and is even less useful than a Pawn.
