Final Feast

Prosciutto, a dry Italian ham, rolled with mascarpone and arugula.

Drizzled with reduced balsamic vinegar,

A pinot gris wash.

'Ossobuco' a lamb shank marinated in wine and spices, 

 Simmered until the meat falls off the bone.

"Gremolada' linguine: minced raw garlic, shredded basil, parsley, and lemon zest, 

Crusty bread and butter, and

Palate cleansing chianti.

A meal must be digested. 

A salad: bib lettuce, shaved provolone, pine nuts,tomatoes, 

Topped off with a brandy.  

Two cannoli: a powder sugar, ricotta cheese, chopped candied fruit 

Piped into cooled deep fried coned pastry shell. 

The finale: expresso and sambucca, an anise-flavored liquor.
