Asleep in the grass

With a peach of an ass stuck in the soil 

I am a plant

My locks grow alongside green blades

Where my body lays 

Peaceful;

Most awake in my deepest slumber

My roots splay across the weed with open fingers;

Connected 

Thump, thump...thump, thump 

That's my heart 

Thump, thump...

Just listen for the sound 

Buried deep beneath the ground 

Past the dirt and the roots
