Push me gently, let me fall with grace

Push me gently.

It won't hurt me,

Not a little bit.

It is only in that moment

When our eyes make love in the incandescence,

In my war-torn mind,

I find a peaceful resonance.

There is contact,

Skin to skin, bare,

Our scar-riddled bodies,

But you stare directly into my blue soul,

And tell me that

I am beautiful.

I don't say a single word.

I smile.

I am comforted.

I feel appreciated.

I don't care if you don't mean what you say.

At least even in that single moment,

I know that I am worth something to someone.

We have sex, of course.

You love it gentle, but raging with passion.

So, I give that to you,

If it only makes you feel good.

I am not a whore.

I am here because I am lonely,

And I will never not admit that.

You don't care.

You like me very much,

That is all.

I will be someone whom it won't matter to remember,

But you are someone I will never forget.

When I leave in the daybreak,

Go back to your lover,

Rest in his loving arms.

Don't send me to the door.

Don't kiss me one last time.

Not a little bit,

It won't hurt me.

Let me fall with grace.
