Ode to My Missing Sock
I had two socks, a happy pair,
Both snug and warm beyond compare.
But laundry day, the tragic plot,
One stayed home… the other.....not.
I searched the dryer, checked the floor,
Even looked inside the fridge door.
Now it’s gone, its fate unknown,
Living life in the Sock Alone.
So if you see it, let it know,
Its twin is here and misses so.
Until they meet, I’ll wear one blue,
And pray my shoe won’t notice too.
