Statues In The Moonlight

We won't fall or break,

Just stand in silent grace,

Old, rusty cemented forms,

Seeking love in a forgotten place.

Rain pours down upon my head,

Cannot be wiped away by hand,

A lonely, broken heart persists—

Love’s promise, I understand.

Our faces blank and still,

Gazing into the void,

Frozen statues in love’s thrall,

Dreaming of what’s not destroyed.

I fight to keep love alive,

A moon begins to shine,

We stir from our eternal sleep—

Feel your heartbeat, mine.

You'll never be alone,

Dreaming that love will last,

Together, we grow stronger,

Bound in a love steadfast.

I don’t want to let you go,

My heart belongs to you,

Our time is fleeting,

Before we turn to stone anew.

I’ll be there for you,

Our lives won’t change,

I’ll never forget you—

In my heart, you’ll remain.

When cracks begin to show,

You leave me stranded, cold,

Tears fall down my cheeks,

Stories of love retold.

I wish I could touch you,

Hold you close, make you stay,

Living in a dreamscape,

You’re all I want today.

I vow I’ll never leave you,

Keep you in my mind,

Love will always conquer,

Forever intertwined.

Tonight, I promise you

As statues, we are united,

Falling in love eternally,

Don’t leave me tonight.
