For ME

I prefer to write in awkward rhymes

Because I like constraint

I find that limits that the poems place

The styles that I try to test

A challenge that I give myself

(And if I must confess)

An exercise to bring some focus

To an aging but still agile mind

Not too ravaged, yet, by time

Haphazard scheme, but simple lines

To bring it all to rest
