When Me and The World Spoke
When Me And The World Spoke
I sat alone on a warm
But languid sunny day
There was an absence in
The air that had its own way
Abstractionism sees my death
When words won’t form lines
The cold absence is shelter for
A soul lost in spaces we can’t find
Turmoil insists on making me smile
I can’t be mad because at least he tried
The absence of a smile told me how to
Laugh…the funny thing is that it lied
I sat alone on a bench on a languid
Cloudy day when the world said no
I asked her why now and seh just looked
Away at all the lies that he just told
I looked to see if the world had a smile
But got lost in her captivating eyes
When I got to know her and peeled
Away the layers…I saw her disguise
She is filled with sorrow and doesn’t
Know how to smile anymore, you see
She woke up in a pool of blood
And cried out at thee sight of me
She danced with me one more time
Though and we got lost in the tune
She said she didn’t love me anymore
Smiled and covered thee sky in gloom
She walked away and didn’t even look…
I was devastated and lost in the cracks
She kept walking, ignoring my screams
I ran to her and shoved a knife in her back
Now the world is mine and I will put her away
In a box so I can remember just how she looked
I can tell you now the world is a much better place
Because her lies are all that I took
