It’s Always Tea Time

“More tea William?” I ask, pouring him another cup without waiting for his response.

“Jennifer, another biscuit?” I inquire, already placing one on her full plate.

“That cheese looks just heavenly!” I proclaim, grabbing a green slice for myself as I know neither of my siblings would offer.

“Oh Jennifer dear, it is happening again!” I pouted, reaching over to push her cheek back into place.

“Isn’t it nice to be together again after so long? And at such a lovely party too!” I gush, absentmindedly brushing her flakes off of the tablecloth.

My contented sigh fills the stale room. “I can’t wait for Daddy to come home!”
