Self worth.

It’s a tricky little subject.

Too much and your captain becomes a self absorbed megalomaniac trying to steer a small fishing boat into 35meter swell with no regard for logic or respect for physics.

But too little self worth and your ship stays docked in the harbour, too scared to venture past the breakwater even though the ocean is flat as a board.
