What I became

There’s so much on my mind,

Too much to capture in words,

Weighing heavy on my brain,

Making it hard to concentrate.

I wonder how I'll chase it,

My heart doesn’t care,

But my mind still wanders.

My heart has retired,

But my mind keeps running.

So I shut it down,

And let it wash over me.
