It’s a Promise

Life is what you make it.

But sometimes there’s only so much you can do.

When it falls out of your hands, it falls into God’s.

Sometimes, all you can do is wait and trust

Until a new path is revealed or a new door is opened.

And then once again, it’s your responsibility to take it,

As long as it’s within your power

To stand on your two legs

And take a step.

And if it’s too painful

To stand up again,

Just know it’s a promise

To get you through that door,

And even your own failure

Cannot break it.
