Under a mask

Under the mask,

is a kid,

who wishes,

to fit in.

her friends,

being a grounding point,

why cant she be,

left on her own.

and doesn't need,

the comfort,

from her friends,

any longer.

opening up to them,

for the hard times,

where her parents,

are unreliable to tell.

not wanting to eat,

not wanting to live,

not wanting to be a burden,

and wanting to be done.

she lives in a world,

that she struggles in,

its not funny,

anymore.

her thoughts,

keep her awake,

at night,

she's not okay.

school is becoming harder,

she's growing tired,

the smile she fakes,

her life is a joke.
