Challenge
From the Read
(: Please write from the reader's perspective... any interpretation, but I'm interested in knowing more about the reader, real or imagined, intellectually, psychologically, physiologically... whether it's how the words are unparcelled or how he or she or you is settling in... or maybe the afterword... no need to tag me... I'll be here to comment. Thank you all! :)
Armor of the Reader
Dancing words raising up, unfurling across the page like flowers in bloom. The shadow of the character extends their hand which I take gladly allowing myself to be drawn in. Crumpling columns, the towering majesty of trees stretching out to drive my imagination into a gallop.
For a while beside a pool of liquid glass I shall rest, finding myself anew in the story of the depths. When it comes time to say goodbye, my guide leads me to the edge of reality, released once again among the tears and worries of a more complex, simpler life. I have renewed my armor in black ink and am prepared to meet what ever may come of this day.
