Folly

A mass of metal causing such alarm,

Inanimate objects taking the blame.

Simply a tool, a lifeless firearm,

In this ridiculous zero-sum game.

For those desiring to commit crime,

Banning weapons will not deter violence.

They’ve access to ALL weapons anytime,

Foolish expectations met with silence.

Deficiency of rational insights,

Restrictions prohibiting are absurd.

Infringing on constitutional rights,

Law-abiding folks’ outcries go unheard.

Scorning the Bill of Rights, utter neglect,

To Americans, complete disrespect.
