Like Minds

Incredible ideas but not sure if anyone understands,

Trying to find my passion without having to yield to demands.

Expression of self can anybody see,

That I have to release this creativity.

For years I remained silent not thinking I was good enough,

Now I'm unleashing what I have it's a must.

Touching people's hearts with words I have within,

Holding me hostage until I release them with a pen.

Satisfaction of one person saying this is great,

Feeling empowered because this is my fate.

So here I am my fellow poets ready to engage,
