Like Rain

Falling on my face

It chills flesh and mats my hair

And gives life everywhere

Falling pitter pat

Raindrops fall around my feet

And soil my socks

Look out the window

The lukewarm rain hits the ground

The game is canceled

My plans are canceled

I cannot leave my warm bed

Its still raining here

The raindrop falls splat

It lands and falls down my face

Now I'm wet and cold
