The Eulogy of a Coward

To hesitate from possibility;

walk the cleared path

away from risk;

avoiding the misty waters of ambiguity

and the diamonds in their depths;

Do you feel your life withering up

und incandescent tubes;

after another pointless conversation

with another pointless person

who's never spoken for you;

All your dreams are filed away with the paperwork

as the bills pile up;

the whole world

rotting outside your front window;

waiting there for you;

as you do nothing;

your love is out there;

loving another who had the guts to say somethingto speak out, to say anything

you left a life unlived;

a life unfulfilled;

one that simply continued

as the days flowed in and outlike the last breaths of a dying man;

until your packed away

in some forgotten grave;

amongst the others

mourned by no one

in a hollowed out field ;

amongst the tombstones

an eerie silence echoes a wasted life;
