Flesh and Blood

Eyes brimming with tears, I wondered, where is the humanity

Buried deep underneath the debris, shattered by strikes from drones 

Far, it has gone into the wilds

Captured by worst of animals, greed and selfishness

Where is the humanity, I pondered

The moon up high surrounded by the stars, man snoring

Where is the humanity, I screamed 

Cries deafening my stretched membrane, of children far away

Where is the humanity, I whispered 

Nose holes closed, stench of claret nauseating
