ELEGY TO A DAD

To a wonderful dad , who suddenly passed away

Over the years, you were with us , you were very kingly

Truly you see to it , if the members of the kingdom were well -provided

Handsome,helpful and humorous were the words in the neighborhood were what I've heard.

Enthusiasm was seen on his face towards his work

Providing us in all our needs was all his desire

Inculcating us good values to the rest of our lives was all he aspire

Lullabies were sang by him as we requested it before we sleep

Leading us to be good citizens , he took us to church to worship

Adorable man for his stunning prowess when it comes to fellowship

Regal were his ways of rearing his children, for being with him was all fun

Outstanding father for a job well -done

Fantastic pillar as he sent us to a prestigious school despite of a blue collar job

Traumatic experience for his children , when he suddenly left

He was taken by death, who was a silent thief

Encouraged us to pursue our journey with the education as his gift,

Family members were able to survive in all the struggles and strife.

After twenty years of his death I still considered him alive

Memories of him as the best father will not fade

In my heart and in my mind , you stayed

Loving father , I want to thank you for all the great deed

You were an ultimate Dad , I am so glad and proud indeed!
