“Mine!”

The Seagulls in finding Nemo spoke but one line

Repetitiously they Squawked, "Mine!"

Dogs, Rodents, Pigs, and Coyote

All with one intention, sharing one thought

Scavenging primitively thinking, "Mine!"

But these are just beast and they can’t pull up to

In and Out burger to order something to eat

So whose to blame them for always starving and spending their time trying to make anything to nourish their painful hunger as, "Mine!"

But Man, mighty, divine? All powerful humankind!

What your excuse for your disease of mind that acts like a beast and thinks,

"Mine Mine Mine!"

With the power to control earth, air, fire, and water

with the ability to control body, mind, and spirit

how dare you be so irresponsible and fall from grace to greed

and become polluted with the thought, "mine!"

The audacity of ye, oh mighty man who has the ability to understand

We are caretaker of it all, pride and ownership led to the great fall

If we even owned our breath then we would remember the day we came from our mother’s womb.
