Contradictions

I don't know what to do I love him but my parents won't let us be together. I have to marry the Duke of Tosh; but he's an old man who's old enough to be my great grandfather! My friends all say I should feel honored that the great Duke has settled on me for his FOURTH bride but I just can't manage to feel anything more than disgust... but when I think on it I can see what my parents do... and i just don't know. I am a contradiction much like grans favorite saying when she's out to late; she's always getting "midnight sunburn". But I took the decision last night, which is why I am on the mail coach to Greta Green at this ungodly hour... James and I are eloping!!! Come what may our love can conquer all and as long as we are together I will always meet the dawn with a face splitting smile!
