Don’t Speak

He was making remarks about people's families.

Filicity said

"Stop saying those things. You don't know what's going on."

We could've been done with the conversation then.

But then you had to open your big mouth.

"It's not like they were negative things."

I muttered

"Why are you defending what he's doing?"

And you turned around.

"Because he gets picked on all the time, and it bothers me."

The teacher agreed, and that was that.

But I hadn't said what I had wanted to say.

You pick on me all the time, and you're one of my friends.

You would've responded with "But that's just for fun."

That doesn't mean that it doesn't bother me.
