Nothing Funny

It seemed like it had gone on forever

In a flash it was done

Will the Red and the Blue ever come together

Some I voted for won

I am happy to say

No more commercials of Lt Gov Dan Patrick in his "mom jeans"

Looking at some of the winners list I'm just really going to pray

I'm not a one party person by any means

I look at the candidates and go from there

I vote both ways

I have to tell you with the all the hate commercials my nerves were starting to wear

Some of these candidate's behaviors leave me in a complete daze

I have to admit one politician this week brought a smile to face

Please know I don't condone violence

For it there is no place

But seeing Ted Cruz being flipped off, booed and ducking a beer can made sense.

I wished he would have stayed in his country of birth

or even stayed in Cancun while we froze

To him his constituents have no real worth

And more and more a growing group of how constituents feel about him truly shows

I hope your cities, states and our country prosper greatly

No matter who got in I want them to do well because then we will do well

I hope the mudslinging and name calling give in to a behavior more stately

Enjoy this brief pause because way too soon we will be back in election hell.
