One can’t forget

Head in the clouds. It’s hard to watch my steps. Feeling so good for so long. I move along with some pep.

Offering politely, words of good cheer. To no one in particular. That most are happy to hear.

When they inquire thy source of my enduring carefree optimism. I remind them i’ve never failed to forget.

And once gone something one will surely miss. Friends can come and go. Until you learn their not the person you got to know. Recognized by their face. There is nothing stranger than a case of two faces in one’s former friends place.
