Time Warp

Able to control time

that's not a crime

but then overtime the chyme sounds

and I remember I've been found

being made to walk the plank

for robbing a bank

so everyday at noon cuffed and bound

listening as the warden makes his rounds

jail is a big shark tank

and I've no one else to thank

only myself to blame

such a shame

said mom

using her powers to help after bombs

the feel of all that green in my palm

made me forget all about psalms

it was to be a big prank

but to be frank

I feel like the shower stall grime

as nasty as okra slime

the others were clowns and all in the ground

or nowhere to be found

but then again what's the point?

taking the money to help the poor and for what?

government takes it all back

and they're back on the same track

how am I bad for no longer wanting to fight?

forgive me for this horrendous slight?

taking the money was wrong

but helping them made me feel strong

being the one they thought me to be

by decree

the new Robin Hood

but from where the law stood

I was a criminal

but its all in the subliminal

what they don't want you to know?

they want you to be poor

its the only way to score

I tell you don't mess with their money

for them its never funny

being a superhero

leaves you at zero
