I See the Sea

I see it in the distance

as the sun rises over the horizon.

It is beautiful,

and it is unpredictable.

Sometimes it seems

that the sea

is brighter than that sun,

more captivating than the moon

and rises higher

than the stars.

When I look ahead,

beyond,

beside,

rushing over my eyes

in a wave of simplicity

I see the sea.
