discredit beauty

if it is blocking the view of your garden

that dandelion is killing your daisies

so pick it from the ground

put yellow petals in a plastic bag

and cut the green thorns from your roses

you forgot to notice

how beautiful the color red was

when it was slipping from your shadows

i guess it was interfearing with your future

fiddling with your vines

molding over your apricots

finding all things mine

but the red made something beautiful afterall,

it's stained onto my skin

leaving scars

some are shaped like hearts

they are not the serious shade of red

they're silky and soft pink

surviving with serenity

don't discredit beauty

let the dandelion grow
