Flower Dance

Petals thrown all around

Swooped gingerly by air

Or winding up ensnared

In a vicious toddler's grasp

An organic defenestration

Of pastel hues

Dancing in the air

Floating to the moon

And someday I hope I can be one soon

Detached from my responsibilities

Simply drifting away until I decay

A vagrant petal carried by the tides

Simply biding time

Until my tabula rasa arrives
