the stars always felt far away,

I guess

I was a child of the earth and trees

and movies set in outer space feel like

I shouldn't be here

cold and empty

foreign

fake

but now I know I'm made of stars

because I'm made of everything, everything

and when I opened my eyes

I saw something

I'm made of water and air with an earthen mask and fire in my fist

I thought I was a solid rock but

I've been water soaking everything up
