letter to my future love

Dear future husband,

Hello, it’s me. You don’t know me yet (at least I don’t think you do), but I hope you’re searching for me. More than anything, I hope you’re living and growing – but don’t take too long, because I could use somebody, someone like you.

I am content, and I hope you are too, but I am also eagerly awaiting the day when I’m no longer dancing on my own but instead dancing with you. Before that happens, you should know that I have issues, and I’m sure you do too, but if you say you won’t let go, I won’t let you go either. Maybe I’m getting a little ahead of myself writing this letter – I know I feel silly doing it – but I can’t help but wonder what it’s like to be loved by you.
