Inner Child
During Mother’s Day some people are unable to connect with this day, or it hits them deeply due to a mother passing, leaving, or simply non-existent. I would like to take the opportunity to use this challenge to celebrate and mother our inner child as it’s important to treasure that aspect of who you are. Any format, just feel it out<3

who makes me want
to run barefoot
through fields of
grass and clover
you're the one
who loses track
of time
as i observe
old drawings
with
familiar faces
you're the one
who stays up too late
looking out the window
at the stars
you're the one
you acts first
impulsively
careless about
the aftermath
you're the one
who's
a spark
a joy
a light
and i love you for that
