Ethereal Trip

I entered the cafe, there written on the board in chalk,

Was the special of the day “Cabbage Pie done in a Green Bean stalk”.

It came around on a carousel, with mustard and catsup and such,

It was the cheapest thing on the menu and I didn't have all that much.

I ordered it and found myself in really quite the conundrum,

When asked how it was, tell the truth? Or rather should I just play dumb?

Looking back I should have lied, after all I was only there on vacation,

For when the cook hit me, I seen more stars than in any constellation.
