It’s just not the same, since Daddy died

I remember the funeral & how hard we all cried

Then Momma had to watch us all drift apart

I swear that she died of a broken heart

You can’t choose family or that’s what they say

But I’m praying we will all work it out one fine day

After all, at one time, we all lived under one roof

That alone should serve as enough proof

’Cause we share the same blood, same habits even hair

Don’t know why we can’t show each other we care

About each day that we have or maybe ask how are the kids

Instead we seem to dwell on what someone once did

I love you my Brother, my Sisters, my Kin

Without you beside me, who cares who wins?
