My face is pale

The glass of wine near my hand

Half-empty

Or half-full

A change in scenery

After the sound of a bell

A face with a smile

The same cheap wine

Identical plates of nostalgia

Between us.

Exchanged pleasantries

Unexpressed grievances

An abandoned desire

To reach through the screen

And touch.
