Coffee Bars

A hot cup of winter

steams my face,

as a four o’clock shadow

frames the coffee bar.

It’s like his beard,

perfectly shaped,

accenting chiseled

cheek bones.

Specks of the January

sunset reflect off his

eyes, espresso black.
