Peace Within

My mind is like an open book

Each page a new discovery

Writing is the only thing

That's helped with my recovery

So long in a darkened place

Escape is necessary

It took so long to find myself

The ego was contrary

I am happy now to say

That I have found contentment

Able to move on and live

There's no room for resentment

I hope that everybody

Can find the peace within

A brightened face upon the mirror

A new life can begin
